The Book of Enlightenment - A guide to a better life

Sunday 18th November 1934

Ye who accompany me in thy writings write that thou may have a better understanding of the passing from the material life to the spiritual sphere of progression.

I left ye in my travels at the entrance to the Council of Power.

Thou are now in a sphere surrounded by vibrations of spiritual understanding, bringing unto thy mind things thou should have done and yet have left undone. Realising that there is yet a Power that governs thee as thy Power shalt govern the material mind, realising more fully the Power of the Supreme Power.

I take thee now so thou wilt better understand with me thou wilt now return again to thy material sphere. Thou see now with eyes though not with material eyes but eyes of understanding the boiling seething mass of material life, the experimental garden of life, struggling, grasping, fighting for existence, material existence, regardless of the Power that created life.

As ye gaze over the squirming mass of humanity, thy eyes becoming accustomed to the gloom, the bitterness of life, ye see blossoming further rising above the masses, a flower, a beautiful flower struggling, desiring, existing in a field of choking, struggling weeds. Thou who hast received the Power from the Supreme Power can now divert thy Powers to help in the upliftment of the beautiful flower cleansing, freeing it from slime, transplanting the seed in the garden of Power. There this material flower will find rest.

Now my material friends you come deeper with me down to the depths, to the material fields of weeds. There thy presence is not noticed by the surrounding masses, ye may walk freely without interruption or obstruction, seeing clearly with the wisdom, the understanding granted by the Supreme Power into the minds entering the struggles unnoticed by the material masses.

Let ye my friends rest by the wayside for just a spiritual heavenly moment, whilst we cast our eyes into the seething pool. We will look so we may understand the various workings of Power.

Ye see a seed before ye about to be generated into material life. It now bursts forth grasping, struggling, desiring nothing but material life, casting aside the heavenly thoughts, the powers of creation, desiring not and caring not, only for existence it liveth. The Powers say "thou must obey", we see it wither and shrink away, passing from its material existence back to the slime from whence it came.

Yea my friends, that flower was the son, the beautiful son, the pride of a material mother who understandeth not the workings of the Lord.

Come with me my material friends, we penetrate the spheres through which the spiritual weeds must pass. See my friends before ye is a spiritual weed that a moment, just a moment ago, existed on the material plane, searching, unable to see the light without understanding the terrible danger from material to spiritual surroundings. Look my friends, it feeleth, though unable to see kindred souls. Now they travel together searching, ever searching, combining, adding, a combination of Powers to better understanding. Thus they receive the first gleam of light. Now my friends they understand thus their progression will quicken according to the work that they will be allotted to do, that they have left undone.

Look ye again my friends into the pool. Note ye the pool is very very deep, see the material hand stretching forth, trying to reach to grasp the light of understanding submerged occasionally by the predominating masses dragged beneath, engulfed by the spontaneous surging, giving, rising, reaching, grasping, feeling the Power of the Supreme God. Note ye my friends those that reacheth and believeth in that Power shall not perish.

Let the material minds search, reach, grasp, according to their own material understanding. They are all grasping for the same light, they are not reaching in vain, they shall be taken carefully from that pool of slime to that garden of love and care for further progression and enlightenment, without the necessity of passing through that terrible darkness.

Thus my friends I have drawn to thy material minds a true picture of the passing of different material bodies. Soon thou wilt be better prepared and better able to understand the teachings that shortly it will be thy duty to preach to the masses.
