The Search for Light
The Book of Enlightenment - A guide to a better life
Sunday 25th November 1934
Pray ye material friends to the Supreme Powers to give thee strength. Ye that desireth the Light, shoulder thy burdens ye that are heavy laden heed not the burdens thou carryest, and follow without question. Hesitate not, thou hast journeyed far in thy search for light and enlightenment. Thy loads, material burdens, thou has cast aside, taking on thy shoulders a spiritual burden, a burden full of thorns. Trust in thy guidance, and in those who travel with thee. Thou who hast travelled far cannot return, enlightenment, and progression hath been plainly shown unto thee.
Thou who searcheth for light, and Power shall receive, and search not in vain. Yea, remember my material friends the necessity of thy combined strength, love must reign between thee, for material weeds still cling to thee. Thy journey may not be smooth but thou my material friends stride ye firmly on. Thou shalt rest but not by the wayside rest peace, peace to the material shall be thine, turn thy face not back from whence thou came.
Tonight, this material night I ask thee to journey with me to a spiritual night. Look down my material friends, thou seeth before thee things that have been left undone that should have been done. Thou seeth the masses that live for the material, and the material alone, struggling, searching in the light.
We journey hence to another material night, to where a material soul is passing to the spiritual planes of enlightenment. It is an old lady, surrounded by her material friends, we see as we look carefully into their material minds, that each is realising that material life is about to expire. Let us look deeply into the minds of our material subject, before us. The material subject has lived a life in accordance with her teachings, encouraged by those who taught her to have no fear of passing from this material life, yet my friends, there remains that fear, fear, fear something in the last few moments bewilders her. There is so much that she does not understand.
She, the old lady desires so to go to Heaven, yet her very ignorance of the facts of Heaven feeds her fears.
How your knowledge would have brought relief to that passing soul.
The fear and doubt comes because something in the teachings of the material has been forgotten. Those in doubt will find those forgotten teachings in the beyond.
Surrounding the material passing are the friends who weep, why do they weep? They likewise understand not the journey about to be taken. For thy material enlightenment we will watch the passing for a few material moments.
Distorted wracked with pain from the material life, flowing from the pain of the material body. We see now a light and comfort and rest entering the material body Power material life still exists, yea but unto her is brought the spiritual light sleep and rest, beautiful rest no longer fear, received by guiding friends taught the true light shown the path clearly. There is given unto her spiritual understanding and enlightment.
Return ye my friends to the night of souls in a sphere of darkness, search ye among the undesirable weeds, read ye that predominant thoughts of their minds.
