The Body The Spirit and The Soul

The Book of Enlightenment - A guide to a better life

Saturday 6th August 1938

The body the spirit and the soul. The many things ye have yet to learn yet many of things ye have learned ye have recognised the floral evolution. Natures everlasting supply of flowers and fruit in abundance. Within the realm of materialism ye have planted the seeds of expectation oftimes disappointed by the fruits ye expected to harvest. Let us pause to try and better understand. It is spoken there are seeds that fall upon the stony ground but there are seeds planted in the richest of soil that fail to develop to rise in the splendour of thine expectations. Can it be that the seed thus planted is akin to that which we are accustomed to see in the assembly of our material selves. A seed without a soil are we then so mean akin to the seeds of a material garden is it true that the flowers of splendour is privileged to possess a soul akin to thine own. Let us investigate and perhaps our endeavours will bring enlightenment upon many things that in the past ye have failed to understand. We see in abundance many kinds of life. Life in the flesh life in the waters in the air in the flowers life everywhere, life controlled and affected by what we are accustomed to recognise as climate conditions. Yet we have formed life in every possible condition that the material mind has ventured to penetrate in the snow in the ice in the wilderness in the desert in the sea in the forests in all conditions high or low. We observed mighty masses that live and move as is the material privilege. What incentive is created to bring and produce this abundance of life. My answer to you is the soul of life. For the moment and the present and your enlightenment I wish to divide life into three sections that shall be known to you as the flesh the spirit and the soul. In the past ye have recognised and understood that the spirit is the soul.

You in your journey are now fitted to better understand that the soul is the governing Influence controlling the Spirit and the Spirit controlleth the assembly of the material flesh and all the life within our recognition. It is true that in the past we have concerned ourselves with that we recognise as self and little thought is given to the subject just mentioned, yet it is necessary to realise and create within us in accordance with our acceptance the difference between a seed deposited upon the soil and a seed cast upon the rocks of destruction and misunderstanding. It is mentioned in that which ye have written that ye pass from sphere to sphere arising from the darkness towards the light.

Ye see the seeds to develop to material you see the flower to blossom and decay as in the flesh. We pause to realise a number of these processes involves our own material assembly and we recognise in the vast assembly of life vegetable and material alike processes constantly but surely producing the evolution and reincarnation for that which is the flower of today was the past and will become the flower of tomorrow.

We have spoken of the flesh and the flower as the assembly of many germal existences, the spiritual and material assembly is the evolution that produces and promotes the desire to develop. As ye who are material will better understand. For the moment should I say unto you ye and thy brethren are an assembly of many with the desire and energy to develop inspired by influence. Spiritual self that influence is inspired and governed by a soul and thy soul should be inspired by the Power of God. Yea it may be true that thy spiritual development may oppress thy soul and cast the spirit into the darkness for ye are many as a body in the flesh ye that are in existence living or in decay reapeth the harvest of that which ye sow. That which ye have accepted as desirable and gathered that which is as ye desire unto the Sphere of your own ambition or acceptance. There are many materials as there are seeds in thy garden that have become contaminated with the acceptance and tuition of other spiritual selves, spiritual influences other than thine own. Thus we recognise here a danger a danger to be feared and avoided far more dangerous than the most dreaded disease that your material mind can conceive. We must not close our eyes to the truth for it is here that we gather to learn that which we know to be the truth and when I say to you that the material garden may be a viper of disease and destruction and when I say unto ye that it is true that in the spiritual sphere you may find a kindred influence as destructive and terrifying as that in the material sphere. Yes within thy midst you find you are surrounded by the stony ground material and spiritual that annuls your endeavours to bloom in the evolution of progression. In the words of material as spoken the piercing daggers of misunderstanding words of poison that brings to you the doubting breezes. In truth those winds when inspired and reinforced by the contaminating winds of spiritual influences other than thine own that whisper words that scorch thy material and spiritual enlightenment that blind thine eyes and close thine ears until thou fail to recognise the agonies of thine own soul.

It is thy spiritual self that thou casteth into the darkness it is thy soul that inspires the wisdom and inspiration to rise towards the light. So thus we see the seed that is planted the seed that grows, the seed that withers and decays to return to the soil the darkness. The Spirit endeavours to receive the inspirations of the Soul the same within thee and thine material kind dost recognise that which is and ever will be borne in thine image inspired by a soul an image controlled by a spirit. There are those aye in the flesh whose spiritual self is weakened by the acceptance of the influences just mentioned. There are among ye who are classed as devoid of intellect others who are deformed there are those that are sick lame and ill formed the result of conflicting forces in accordance with thine own acceptance of the Influences endeavouring and controlling thine own assembly so ye are as ye desire. Listen to the voice of thine own soul that gives inspiration to thy Spiritual self who is in turn advised governed and tended by thine own Spiritual Advisors that thou hast taken into thy Circle. Thence thou shalt rise protected and cared for thou hast chosen well the Influence that shall guide thee.

Ye nameth Casula a worthy member of your circle whose endeavours ye are advised to follow rather than thine own inclinations which may be inspired by what ye dost not desire or inspired to close thine eyes and thine ears to the warmth of evolution and progression. It is well ye thoroughly understand the words that to you I have spoken so endeth the first lesson.

An explanation

An explanation in confirmation of that which is written. It is possible to place various definitions within the sphere of your material understanding upon that which ye have written the various planes progression evolution and reincarnation. It is well to understand a little and that little thoroughly understood ere it leads to confusion and doubt for at the moment it is unwise to penetrate beyond into the light that at this stage of our development we should fail to recognise. It is true that the material flesh decays and separates from the spiritual self. It is true that the flower dost blossom and decay casting into the soil that which is the seed. It is true that inspired by spiritual enlightenment by the soil is formed and image from the seed that which in reincarnation is the flower inspired by the spirit controlled by the soul. We return to the flesh the body this explanation it will be necessary to recognise the body and the flesh as two. Thus ye will terminally describe the assembly as four. As we dissect further as explained we shall find many and each of the many would be part of the flesh and the general assembly would be termed the body. As we are not concerned with the past and that which is amassed in the form of the flesh thus producing that which we call the body, we will continue to recognise so as it simplifies our better understanding of all that is necessary for our progressive end is to blossom in the desire as influenced by our God. In the past it is emphasised many times and in many ways the necessity of forgetting that which is past and strengthening our endeavours to better that which is to be shall we say tomorrow. Yes ye cast aside the flesh the body remains as the mediumistic eye can recognise aye feel the solidity of that which still exists. There are those who fail to develop the necessary sensitivity or faculties to feel or to see the actual body governed as ever by the Spirit controlled and inspired by the soul. Thy soul is the heavenly source of Power ever rising above thine own endeavours but inspiring as the light the sun that shines. Thy spiritual self governs thy material assembly or thy astral body. A body is the termal description given unto masses whatere they be and thus ye recognise differences. The flesh is something that ye see Body is a description given unto the flesh or the names should be in liquid or vapour gases or any material form that ye have learned to recognise. Ye would say unto me that is not the flesh that is a body of gas or vapour but should your Spiritual Self recognise a likeness of an astral assembly akin to that which has withered or decayed you would without question say unto thy kin but this is the spiritual body of my friend and should ye dwell in the sphere of the Spiritual realm ye would then be privileged to recognise that body in the same solid assembly that ye are wont to recognise in the flesh. It is something for the moment I ask you to accept without question. It is true that the Soul endeavours at all times to build within the various bodies each body changing in form retaining the same solidity as in the flesh in accordance with the determination of God's influence to create beautiful flowers in the likeness that God would desire. Ye in thy stubborn resistance to that which has been written fall prey to the dangerous influences that retard thy progress thus creating the agony of thy Soul who has tried and always will try to inspire thy Spirit to control thy body whatere the Sphere progression is thine in accordance with God's desire.

Let us recognise the beauty of this attentive angel our own Soul. Yea thine own untiring Soul ever striving to overcome to enlighten that which ye recognise as self. Spiritual or material. Yea the fruits of the Heavens await ye and thine and offer ye a welcome.

Ye who turn thy face from the welcoming Influence of God but retard thine own development. Thy lips may require the moistening Influence of God's Holy protection yet the spiritual darkness leads ye to temptation but be it understood that whatere is the path ye have chosen the fertile soil or the stony ground, are spheres of solidity and Spheres of three the body, the spirit and the soul. So we see if we fail to comply in the various Spheres our task again as recognised in the flowers will recommence.

We are not condemned and cast forever in the darkness. God is a just God and forgives the many sins our soul teaches us to recognise the light and forms the inspiration within the Spiritual Self to create the image that God desires. The flesh is recognised in the Sphere as solid but in other Spheres there are forms of solidity that until ye are further advanced and prepared it is well to accept the lesson as given.

I promise unto you many a fuller explanation with various forms of solidity that shall be brought unto ye for you to see and feel when ye as a body are prepared and fitted to see. There shall be before your eyes solidity that ye fail to recognise but for the moment ye must if ye desire to follow, accept without question faith and trust unto the end for we have work to do that would be quickly accomplished and delivered to the masses material and spiritual in many ways for my words to you thou hast written on the paper before you have carried o'er many Spheres through various scribes spiritual messages given to material mediums. The words thus written many of these words are likened unto the seeds described. There are those who fail to accept the spoken word and therefore the necessity of your personal endeavours that they shall be brought into the light.

I the Voice of Power return to the Council of Power.
