The Book of Enlightenment - A guide to a better life

Saturday 29th August 1936

Know ye my material friends ye who are wont to speak of thy faith in God that words alone will strengthen not thy intentions.

It has been written and requested that ye shall comply without question until the end.

Judge ye not that which thou art not privileged to understand. Obedience compliance faith, these simple words concealing a mountain of weakness or strength pause ye my friends to realise that that wonderful power of God's influence spoken in a language that only those who care to understand learn to understand.

Ye who desire progression whose attendance is faithfully recorded in a class of progression oftimes in thy eagerness to comply fail to realise the significance of thy task. 'Tis well then that ye as willing subjects should endeavour to grasp the meaning of the Powers that surround the activities and progression of the material and spiritual kind.

Thy ambitions will avail ye naught like other material ambitions that are undertaken without the realisation of the full significance and the faith required. Nothing is done nothing is achieved without the firm belief that you can succeed. The faith in your objective. Therefore my friends 'tis more than necessary for ye to say I have faith and trust in the Power of God mere words to an empty sky. Friends material and spiritual realise the necessity of more than words. Faith and Trust canst thou an unenlightened mind doubt the Power of the Supreme Power the Power of God.

Ye who repeateth the words of thy father and thy father's father can be pardoned for the doubts for thou knowest not in thine anxiety to achieve thy material desires thou hast accepted without question or doubt knowing not caring not for has it not been spoken by the lips of thy parents. What proof have ye of the Powers of Power the controlling force of all kinds. What proof have ye that such Power by the Power of God is a Power to many of a pious mind. I hear thy cry ridiculing the mere question but unable to answer satisfactorily to many that question existing in the darkness understanding not, unable to reply unable to ask thou who cry. I believe in God the Almighty and the Power of God.

Oh my unenlightened friends why dost thou who knowest not have such faith in thy belief. We cry and applaud the words of our Saviour our God but our belief is really from our lips alone ever failing to understand the full significance of the wonderful forces controlling the activities of all material and spiritual kind.

Come my friends cast aside the words thou understandeth not. Let us start at the beginning so that we may thoroughly understand that which is necessary for us to understand then we can truthfully say we believe in the Power of God. Let us step forward and openly declare he that so desires may enter the Kingdom of Progression. The forces controlling the activities of the spheres in which we dwell would welcome the enlightened to comply for ye no matter who thou be are a subject of God existing in the influences of thine own desires not the desires of thy tongue but the desires of thine own inclinations and friends only ye and ye alone in thy material sphere know the truth of thine own inclinations that are the exposing light of the truth of thy desires thy compliance thy trust in God the Power of God not thy words not thy deeds but that which is buried in thy innermost soul.

Queer words but true accepted many times without thought. A question "what controls thy innermost soul" the very sphere in which thou dost desire to dwell and thy acceptance of the Controlling Forces of that Sphere that controls thy innermost soul. Realise be ye material or spiritual, Spiritual are governed and controlled by spiritual and material by material and spiritual only in accordance with thine own desires.

Pause ye then to think how best to improve in accordance with the sphere of progression.

First realise the necessity of compliance without doubt without question the forces of Progression the Power controlling the Forces the Power of God the Supreme God.

Ye who would desire to lead thy brethren from the darkened planes of misunderstanding must first cast aside all thy material inclinations accepting the influences that would guide ye in the work of enlightenment of the masses but ere ye venture to teach unto others be ye sure ye also fully understand.
