The Book of Enlightenment - A guide to a better life

Sunday 29th March 1936

The acceptance of our friends how does one judge a friend by deeds kindred to their own desires. Friends are thus accepted or rejected in accordance with desire. Thou wouldst not accept the friendship of one who opposes thy every thought who ridicules thy every deed. Have thou taken unto thy bosom those likened to thyself and thy desires so it is and ever shall be. Thou wilt and ever shall gather around thee spiritual and material in accordance with thine own desires. In continuation of the conversation the words brought to you by the influence of your own Spiritual Advisors referring to conflicting influences the acceptance or rejection and how to recognise that which is beneficial or that which will retard ones progress. It is spoken with truth but often without thought without realisation of the depth and the meaning of the words that "actions speak louder than words". We judge our friends from actions and deeds when the darkness of despair is the blackest then dost the curtain rise revealing the true friend who shineth as a star. We have many friends in name but few in deed. So let us pause and look o'er the road of progression the road of enlightenment that we have travelled with each other stumbling blindly but progressfully under the guiding influences that have never failed even in the darkest hour. A friend in pleasure a friend in darkness has been our guiding star, a friend who has never stumbled cheering our lonely journey not towards destruction but towards the light and love bringing to us the realisation of a force a controlling influence of God and the Power of God, shielding ye at all times from the conflicting opposing influences of retardation and asking nothing in return. Nothing from which our friend and advisor could gain other than the satisfaction of lifting you from the darkness of night to the glorious sunshine of the day THE DAY.

The "day" should be emblazoned so that thou couldst encircle it with gold. That day draws nigh very quickly when the realisation will come from the heavens to the darkness bringing to the masses the realisation of Power and the forces of God, the equalisation of all material kind as portrayed in thy so called Bible. A little child so also endeth the animosity of mankind material kind and peace and goodwill shall reign upon the earth and those who surviveth the darkness to enjoy the fruits of their endeavours with faith and trust in the Power of God.

The fruits of wickedness and transgression may appease thy material mind but my material friends it cannot save thy soul.

Equalisation and realisation thy greed and thy desire to possess cannot pave the way to friendship and enlightenment towards the Power of God.

Thy wealth and stores of luxury can avail ye naught upon the journey that thou must eventually travel. Oh friends governed and controlled by misunderstanding and by influences akin to thyself remain enshrouded in darkness unable to penetrate the veil of progression. 'Tis my privilege and as a combined force to bring to you the words of enlightenment and truth that shall be written that shall be delivered to you verbally in a language that ye will understand it is for you to accept or reject as you desire but this the words that have been spoken and the scribes that have written shall record in advance this day this year it has been spoken that the signs shall become known to all material friends of the return of the powerful influence of God.

It shall also be spoken at a future date the hour and the sign for thee whose faith and trust have faithfully complied in accordance with the advice of the accepting influences of your own Spiritual Advisors who have faithfully and truthfully guided you towards a light of acceptance of Power.

Out of the darkness exposing many things unrecognisable to the material acceptance thus shall come the realisation that those who believeth in Him the flames of Hell cannot disturb though thy wings be filled with stings and scorched with contact those whose faith and trust in the Power of God shall fear not. The guidance of the Power that lifteth ye from the darkness rising ye from the influence of flame and desire so shall the flames of material acceptance be portrayed to the mental understanding of the masses as visualised by the medium.

This day unscorched uninjured thou shalt journey forth protected by thine own desire of the acceptance of the Power of God. Friends of the material plane materially and spiritually uncertain in the darkness seek ye the light the powers of progression.

Ye who ridicule the words that have been spoken ye who are possessed of all the material wisdom materially and spiritually canst thou not be persuaded to pause to listen to the words of wisdom and truth that is brought to you from the source of Power of Progression. Dost thou not realise that thou can only be permitted to bask in the sunshine of thine own vanity whilst thou art privileged to dwell upon thy material existence. Hast thou no doubt hast thou become so convinced of thine own cleverness that thou wouldst cast aside the opportunity to add to thine own personal knowledge. Art thou vain conceited enough to think that thou and ye only possess that which thou dost desire to think is true. The Power of God is thine to accept or reject. Realisation in material life or spiritual death must eventually penetrate thine own obstinate acceptance.

There may be pleasure in the material acceptance of sin but friends the darkness overbalances the pleasures thus acquired wouldst thou destroy thy soul to give pleasure to thy material vanity. 'Tis thy privilege but with all thy wisdom surely thou must realise the cost.

But is pleasure of a material existence the realisation that thou art a friend of thy brethren working in unison with the Power of God a friend bringing unto them the light the harmony peace and goodwill enjoying and sharing giving thy material existence in compliance with the desire of equalisation materially and spiritually endeavouring to bring light and truth of the beauties of the garden and the fruits of our labours distributed without thought of accumulation, accepting or rejecting that which for the moment thou hast no use to acquire or whilst thou grasp with fingers of greed that which is not thine to possess. Thou art accumulating more than thy equal share. Thy material brother dost suffer in accordance to the extent of thy greed. The Power of God cannot be bought with the power of Gold.

Let thy thoughts be the medium of inspirations from the friends and guiding influences. Friends who will lead you towards the light protecting you from the agonising necessity of spiritual darkness bringing to you at all times the desire to comply without hesitation with the true influences working for the upliftment and acceptance of controlling forces of the Supreme Council of God.
