The Beacon of Life

The Book of Enlightenment - A guide to a better life

Saturday 12th September 1936

I who address you from the Council of Power bid ye not be disturbed. Lend thy ears not to the disturbing sounds but to the voice of the medium. It is well to write thy God is a just God also shall be written 'tis well to remember in thy selfishness and thy brothers selfishness thou shalt be well advised for it is as thou dost desire know ye now that in thy greed and selfishness thou shalt be alone in the end as in the beginning as with thyself is it not that as thou so live so thou shalt upon the darkest spiritual planes of penance there to you shalt come the realisation of the things that thou ought to have done that thou selfishly left undone.

Oh friends of the material sphere realise thou livest the material life not for thyself alone but for the upliftment of thy brother and those likened unto thyself who are not so fortunate as ye who understand the guiding forces akin to Power. The joys of material greed and material selfishness give but the sunlight and pleasure for a moment. Know ye now that the friends so called who misguided thy footsteps are also existing in the sphere of doubt and darkness. When the time of thy material existence has expires 'tis then in the darkness alone that thou wilt cry in agony for enlightenment. Then thou wilt pray in sincerity for the truth that the veil of darkness shall be lifted from thine eyes that ye shall be permitted to tread on the path of righteousness endeavouring to do that which ye had left undone.

Oh worthy friends turn ye not aside from the beacon of light that shines so feebly in the storm of opposition. Darkness is sadness bringing misery loneliness friendlessness. But ye who in thy selfishness will be permitted to live in the darkness for thyself alone pause to realise would ye not soon tire of that possession of that condition but realise ye who sin must surely pay. Thy material life is but a day each day is counted by years of spiritual life in the next sphere of thy existence. God is a just God an exacting God.

The disturbing influences are penetrating thy material sphere in lands both near and far agony and turmoil greed and selfishness will soon be recognised and classified as beasts of prey akin to the lowest the most degraded repulsive insect that thrives in the slime each devouring and living upon the flesh of their brethren materials the intended flowers of God devouring destroying caring not for the agony and misery created by the destruction of the flowers in the garden of God. Canst thou imagine anything so vile as those who tear at the throats of their brethren destroying life, life created by God life tendered and governed by an influence of God.

As ye reap there ye shall find the results of what ye have sown. Gather thy harvest if thou may but friends oh material misguided friends cast aside the thorns thou hast sown by the acceptance of the lower forces the acceptance akin to thine own material actions. I pray ye and pray with the Power of Force that ye may be privileged to realise the necessity of making thy selves worthy to receive the Power the guiding influences of the Forces of God.

Ye who have the audacity, ye who cast aside and ridicule the Power of God shall be awakened to the realisation of the truth of such a Force a Force when at the end thy selfishness and thy wilfulness the darkness which enshrouds thine eyes thine ears can no longer register even the guiding influences of power that appeased thy selfishness. In thy material sphere when thou art alone free from that annoying temptation that thou dost so willingly accept look for the star of enlightenment pray that thy footsteps may be guided towards the true light of everlasting sympathetic enlightenment of love of a force complying with the desire of God.

Oh blunders of the material soil in thy blindness thou stumble o'er those rocks thy greedy fingers clasp endeavouring to retain thy selfish hold upon that which is not thine to possess.

Know ye now it is by the flesh thou art permitted to glean when the flesh has rotted in the dust the bones that supported thy material body that is no longer thine. The very rock that in life thou didst cling to shall from thy fingers slide out of thy uncertain grasp into the darkness from whence thou did come and whence thou will return.

It is a sad story but I am pleased to relate there are many bright sides to the passing from the material life to the life of spiritual progression for progress we must. Oh what joy to realise that thy life upon the material soil was wisely spent. There you have been privileged to enjoy the short material existence in preparation for the higher spheres of God. There to find there to realise that thy very existence was but about to commence. The joys of life an existence beyond thy realisation untroubled by selfishness but living with a desire to please living with the desire to fulfil God's work the evaluation and progression of spiritual and material kind.

Thy very existence is but the beginning of Life.

Why then oh brethren dost thou condemn thy journey of darkness at the commencement of thy career. Ye that live in thy material sphere preparing for a journey towards love warmth and acceptance if thou so desire but it is akin to the sphere of thine own acceptance material and spiritual. Thou art but an uncultivated flower desiring to progress so that thou should shine in the Garden of Love.

Know ye that the soil is of God. Those who are permitted to enter into the Service of such a worthy force must first endure the trials of thy exacting God to test thy strength and worthiness err thou art chosen by the guiding influences in the army of progression.

The road to enlightenment is strewn with many pitfalls testing thy material endurance and thy strength to resist the temptations that in the past have scorched the wings of thy brethren. Be ye prepared to suffer the trials so thou will understand the agony of the suffering of thy weaker brethren.

'Tis right that ye should understand 'tis no honour to travel protected from the blasts of the scorching flames of opposition.

Face ye then the fires of temptation and in thy strength and power cast them from thy path.

Learn ye then to suffer and to realise that ye and ye alone fight for the Progressive Influence that is thine if thy strength and thy resistance faileth ye not.

Blessed is the privilege to prove thy worth pray ye for the strength to resist the temptations that are strewn along thy path. In those words thou shall realise that material be permitted to pass o'er the planes of temptation the winds of sin shall bring to ye the knowledge of the results of sin.

What is sin? Thy consciousness, the knowledge that thou dost sin, the guiding influence that brings the realisation for one moment and in that moment thy conscious soul will realise that thou did intentionally sin. Sin to many is a sin intentional, sin to others whose eyes remain blinded whose wisdom gives them not the privilege to understand the righteousness, the desire of God sineth not realising not like a ship sent to the harbour of safety but unknowingly in the darkness of the night battered by the storms of the lower forces glide unknowingly not realising that in a few moments they will be battered beyond recognition to be thing of naught of no value a battered mass unrecognised by the storms that created their destruction.
