The Patience of God

The Book of Enlightenment - A guide to a better life

Saturday 2nd October 1937

To realise the patience of God one must look back o'er many years beyond the memory of thy present civilisation. Seeds of progression planted tendered and cared for in every country and every place within thy material sphere selected and stored the results of careful study and attention. Replanted controlled to live and to die in accordance with the selection of the perfection there obtained by the acceptance or rejection obedience if ye will of the desire to comply with the incentive transmitted to you to attain that perfection so long sought for by our God in every clime upon every soil. This seed was planted with care therefore producing with planetary influences and the warmth of the sun a result to be grafted into a flower in another garden. East or West in accordance with which was desired. Our God has sought for many years to produce you aye every one.

Each flower producing a result a degree of improvement, or many degrees of wilfulness to ye poor mortals who are as changeable as thyself who are as many whose every mood faculties and strength alters momentarily in accordance with the planetary conditions under which you are exposed. Ye whom in the past far beyond thy recollection or the recollection of thy parents parent whose seed may have been planted in the desert sands or the forests of many lands amid the icy mountains from generation to generation did pass through the various experimental gardens to create ye as from a weed to a flower in the making. Ye may die thy soul will live through the soil thy body may decay. The inspirations will record the progression of thy existence. The seeds of thy life was scattered has many times been spoken seeds thus fallen upon the hard and stony ground produces that which to your material eye may be worthless a seed that is allowed not to enter the fertile soil but to rot and decay but does it die? No my friends it is still life and that life is for a purpose, it is so designed by God for a purpose. In thy garden thou hast many things of beauty some despised each serve the other and the purpose the flower and the fruit ye desire to cultivate. Ye are not a fruit nor a flower but a treasured possession of God who desires to create within thee the labours expended on ye in the past. Do not one who has cared for us to such an extent over such a period past the recollection of man to be given some consideration or are we to rebel against the attentions of God. There are those among ye who careth not for the loving care that has ever been bestowed upon thee, shall I say you have become so accustomed to the Bread of Heaven that ye will not feed yourself. Is it not a disgrace to thy intelligent faculties that thou should become a flower of materialism that in the past received such loving care. Ye who gaze around may see the dead and dying seeds of wilfulness returning to the darkness not to be destroyed but to be prepared and preserved until material conditions or soil is prepared to grow a flower from such an unwilling seed. I would like you to think in moments of trial of the patience of our Lord. Ye with thy material troubles and pains are but one and thy troubles thy trials are the Lords our God. Can we not lighten the task of our Lord by trying to understand. Let us not be unruly stubborn and wilful. Oh let us try that such a task may be lightened. Let us mould our desires in the endeavour to comply with the desire of God so that we may be privileged to see the light of love shine within those patient eyes.

It is hard when one dost pause to realise the trouble and care cast aside in material selfishness. How can ye who boast of civilisation be so un thoughtful so ungrateful. I the Voice of Power say unto the material world "Gods Will be done". Many times have material races in many countries attained the growth and the perfection that is now thy privilege. Many times have the races in the past destroyed themselves by their own wilfulness their own greed. 'Tis your privilege 'tis a patient God who will try again an untiring God who will endeavour to reconstruct and rebuild influencing and controlling in various manners in the patient endeavour to bring to you the perfection of everlasting love and light. Do you want to be like your brethren of the past a wish to sleep as the seed of the flower that decayed on the soil of rocks. Listen for the Voice of our Lord thy God look ye for the light the realisation. Kneel in prayer that thy sins of transgression be forgiven.
