God is Love

The Book of Enlightenment - A guide to a better life

Wednesday 31st July 1935

"God is Love" so ye may say my friends but I am afraid that there be many among ye that have learned to love thyself much more than the Power of God.

It is easy for ye to say "God is Love" do you love thy God more than thou loveth thyself. Some among ye would desire to deceive the material surroundings with the answer that I love my God more than I love myself.

Go ye home my friends and in the silence of the night ask thyself "do I love myself more than I do my God" ask thyself would I sacrifice my material life for my God, would I cast aside my wealth to please my God would I suffer the pains of my neighbour at the command of my God. Would I take the burden of the blind at the request of my God, do I love the pleasures of my material existence more than I love my God.

Friends know ye many years have passed since the material masses loved and understood the Power of God with the strength and determination to give their lives to the Love the Truth and the Power of God. Think ye well of the words I bring ye then realise the Truth how little ye love your God in comparison with the strength ye love yourselves.

Now my friends I come not to ask ye for sacrifice. I come merely to ask you to realise the Power of God who is just God who granted ye the privilege of sight which thine eyes now possess that ye would not willingly share with thy neighbour. Friends all I ask for is that ye share with thy neighbour the privileges, the comforts ye now possess to ask ye to bring to the Masses the knowledge of strength the knowledge of truth. Speak to the mind and the body, the material mind and the physical body are one. The Power of Light can be thine thou shalt see the Light be the Light not material. So my friends put your faith and trust in the Power of the Controlling Forces.
