The Flame

The Book of Enlightenment - A guide to a better life

Sunday 2nd June 1935

Would ye but pause my material friends ye who madly unthinkingly ever casting thyself towards the flame that surely will eventually scorch thy wings ye with all thy so called worldly wisdom do ye not realise that ye all are children of God the Supreme Power sharing the fruits upon the table of thy common father. Why dost thou with all thy worldly wisdom conceive the idea that thou art justly entitled to a larger portion than thy brethren. Ye material fathers who art blessed with material children how wouldst thou with thy fatherly wisdom desire to see thy cherished family divided sitting at thy material table supplied with the fruits of thy worldly toil ye that have laboured so that the supply is abundant for all. Yea one side thy children reacheth forth clasping and tearing the fruit from the lips of the children on the other side of the table. Ye that loveth them all would surely demand an equal distribution when thy supplies are so plentiful, yes my material friends I may declare with confidence and certainty that ye would never tolerate such a condition to exist within thy material dwelling. I realise selfishness must at all times be predominant in many selfishness is akin to ignorance. For ye that understand ye could never never snatch from thy material brothers seated at the table of the Supreme Power God that which be granted to ye all. Think ye my friends pause ye and realise it has been spoken many times in many tongues "that a child shall lead ye".

Would ye but pause to realise the simple faith of a child surely with all thy worldly wisdom thou art capable of realising the beauty the simplicity of a child's faith and trust in its material parents. Canst thou then not conceive the idea that ye all be the children of one father, dost thou not realise that thou art of one parent materially with the very beginning of thy material, life originating from one seed not many seeds, one seed one Father.

Dost ye still desire to take away that which justly belongs to thy brother thy blood brother that which God provided thy father's table with thy very material existence art thou a thief of thy family. Ye who with all thy material justice condemneth thy thief art thou sure that thou art not a thief also, dost thou not steal from the lips of thy brother, dost thou not impose a task beyond the strength of thy brother in your material labour that which would rightly and justly be his and thine to share. Ye art thieves who dwelleth among thieves.

Thou shalt realise the beauty the trust the faith as the faith of the material child thou shalt realise the strength of God the Supreme Power ever predominant ever supplying ye with the influences the guidance that ye greedily grasp utilising the fruits of the benefits received. Ye that in thy greed in the past hast oftimes taken to thyself that which thou should have willingly shared with thy unfortunate brother. To ye my material scribes have been brought to thy notice many things that happened by the Will the Power of God the Supreme God. It has been spoken unto thy worldly ears, thou art privileged to read what thou hast written therein. Thou shalt find the truth the clouds that gather around thy material existence earthquakes Wars destruction thy own making promoted developed by the evil influences thou so willingly desire to grasp. Dost thou not realise that in the end God the Supreme Power can strike thy material world from underneath thy feet.

Dost thou believe that thou art a power of knowledge and strength superior to the strength of thy God. Dost thou still desire to defy thy God. Dost thou still desire that the knowledge and thy wisdom be received from the wicked influences that thou seemest ever willing to accept in preference to the guiding influences of truth.

Realise my material brethren the material soil that supporteth thy wonderful

(a missed portion)

thy mansions of splendour can by the will of God be scattered to the winds like the petals of a flower.

Pause my friends realise the conditions the lives the ways the greed the turmoil the beliefs the teachings that exist.

Ye that knoweth the truth shall no longer wonder for the reason for wouldst thou allow thy material children to gather in opposition to thine own teachings to thine own guidance wouldst thou not punish thy disobedient child? Perhaps not for thou may be a thief born from the parents also a thief regaling in the splendour of thine own wickedness perhaps thou may desire to flaunt thy strength in the eyes of thy creator.

So be it my friends but the child the simplicity the joy of thy child the trust of thy child is but an example that thou wouldst do well to follow thus when thou dost have the wisdom to realise the truth the simplicity the joy of thy child's wisdom and follow as did the child thy Father thy God then truly a child shall lead thee.

Know ye had ye but the faith and the wisdom of a child who under the guiding influence of its parents ever responding to that influence of its parents were responding to that influence and the guidance of thy Creator thus answering complying with the desire of that Influence thou wouldst find thine own burden much lighter and thy lazy brother realising the wisdom of compliance would share the burden demanded by so loving a father. So ye shall likewise in future build around ye such words of wisdom and truth whence thou will be called upon to teach the masses who will likewise think and speak the words spoken unto ye through the lips of the medium controlled by the well wishing controlling influences to thine own Spiritual Advisors.
