Strength

The Book of Enlightenment - A guide to a better life

Sunday 12th May 1935

Know ye my material friends thy strength is not concerned by thy physical development. Thou realiseth that the strongest of thy material kind would surely perish even though he be so strong surrounded by the waters that the lips craveth the life giving fluid were he not permitted to drink to receive the waters therein.

Ye may often have seen those whose strength thou hast admired that have perished when the fruit required for thy material existence was no longer available to the hungry system.

Across the desert plane there journeys one whose physical material strength hast in the past as a rule overcome many hardships but those feet are very tired with the material struggles, whose lips are parched requiring the life giving fluid necessary for the maintenance of the strength they believe they possess weary and tired no necessary water within the range of this vision yet beneath thy feet beneath the soil upon which the weary feet stand lies the water necessary for the strength of material existence. Strength and ignorance strength without knowledge avails the weary traveller naught.

Across the plane the weary desert journeys another whose strength would not be sufficient to survive the hardships of his Material brother but he possesseth the knowledge a knowledge necessary for the maintenance of his physical strength. He notes his brother who hath gone before hath passed the melon the water of the desert not realising that their lay the secret of survival. Note ye the one traveller who be weak physically stops to gather the water of life unrecognised by the one with strength gradually overtaking the steps of strength the strong day by day until he finds the strong overcome by death.

So ye realise that strength avails ye naught without the knowledge of that which is so necessary for the maintenance of thy strength.

This day I bring thee a knowledge a word of encouragement to enable thy weary feet to progress towards the light, the light of survival.

Ye must realise that thy material self is but the soil of thy spiritual growth ye who in thy greed desire to be strong, soil without the wisdom that is necessary to keep thy soil in a receptive moistened condition knoweth thou like the soil of the material plane will become parched like the desert to be blown by the desire by the disturbing breezes in which ye the soil of strength shall perish yea shall perish.

Know ye the flowers the trees that surround thy material plane oftimes torn of their splendour by the material elements that thou desire to believe and consider a part of thy material life.

Ye my friends are soil such in knowledge desirous of progression those likened unto thyself who gather round thee in search of the wisdom the truth thou has been brought to thine ears. Those desirous of entering the garden like thyself shall enter the garden. Not material strength a spiritual strength to enable those desirous to live. Those who desire not the wisdom the knowledge shall surely perish.

Words that thou dost sing be words of wisdom and truth "Abide with me fast falls the eventide". Ye be well advised to enter therein the writings of these words therein thou shalt find the meaning of that which thou hast just written.

Knoweth thou ye that desires strength ye that desires the knowledge to maintain that strength thy strength shall first be admitted to many trials like the trees the flowers within thy material plane thou shalt survive or perish in accordance with thine own desire. The trees the flowers whose leaves and blossoms are scorched by the sun scattered by the winds are like thyselves. Knoweth thee thine own material troubles are the breezes the sun that scorcheth thy foundations.

Ye who possess the knowledge that bringeth thee the moisture of life shall not perish but bloom in defiance but ye whom are weak in spiritual knowledge likened unto the strong physical in the desert without the knowledge of his brother who survived must perish.

Realise material friends ye that desire everlasting progression must acquire the wisdom necessary for thy maintenance on such a long beautiful journey.

Ye that be footsore and weary and in thy ignorance desire not progression desire not the life giving knowledge lay ye down. Rest, rest for soon ye shall be scattered by the breezes of spiritual progression.

Ye who would travel the road of light prepare thyself with that knowledge so necessary for thy maintenance for thou knowest now that thou canst not hope to survive the journey towards the light without that wisdom and truth. Thy journey likeneth the journey across the plane shall oftimes be disturbed by the breezes that question thy strength by the scorching sun that questions thy true desire. The sun the breezes may be but thy own material surroundings but to ye who desire the strength realise it is to ye a breeze a breeze that will try and disturb thy loving hold.

Heed ye not the fierce blasts of the wind and the sand for thou who hast the knowledge shall be permitted to survive. Ye who art weary desirous not to retain thy strength desiring not to exercise the knowledge that surroundeth thy material and spiritual progression shall remain until thy desires be strong 'till thy desire for knowledge the knowledge necessary to protect thee be granted unto ye.
